One of our recent projects took us out to Lake Pointe Circle in Hickory, NC, where we had the opportunity to help a homeowner take control of persistent moisture issues in their crawl space. This was a comprehensive job where we installed a complete Atmox system designed to actively manage and prevent moisture-related problems around the clock.
The heart of the installation was the Atmox control center, which continuously monitors humidity and moisture levels in the crawl space 24/7. We also included wood moisture sensors on the cross beams to ensure we could detect even the slightest uptick in moisture that could lead to structural concerns down the road. To keep air circulating and inhibit mold growth, we installed a specialized fan system, as well as a ventilation fan setup to draw in fresh air from outside and push out stale, damp air from within. The added dehumidifier works in tandem with the entire system to maintain a consistently dry environment beneath the home.
To make future inspections and access more convenient for the homeowner, we also installed lighting throughout the crawl space, so it’s now easily navigable at any time of day or night. On top of all that, we waterproofed both the interior and exterior walls of the crawl space. This final step helps reinforce the effectiveness of the Atmox system by ensuring that outside water and ground moisture stay where they belong—outside.
This project at Lake Pointe Circle is a perfect example of how a properly designed and installed moisture control system can completely transform a crawl space. We’re proud to have provided the homeowner with peace of mind and a healthier, more stable home environment.

Growing up in Louisiana gave our owner, Mike, firsthand experience about the problems that can be experienced with moisture issues. The low water table and severe storms make many parts of the state rather soggy. Mike saw his family home flooded several times, and that led to him having a keen interest in waterproofing.
